me and kuya butch has this going-home jinx. everytime we go home after sightseeing and stuff, there's always something that goes wrong. i was wishing that it would't strike us last saturday, when we were flying back to Manila.
friday night, i was 3/4 done with packing. i took a bath midnight because i was afraid i'd wake up late the next day that i wouldn't have the time to do so. slept at 2am when kuya butch said he'll drop by my room at 5:30 to get my stuff. i was surprised to wake up on my own at around 4, just in time to finish all my packing. by 5:30, i was outside my room, standing there, just feeling the cold air and enjoying the silence (senti mode) waiting for kuya butch to come. 5:35 passed and he still wasn't there. we were to catch the train scheduled at 5:58 and i doubt if we could catch that with all our luggage. 5:40 when i decided to ring him up and realized that he just woke up. he couldn't believe it, i couldn't believe it. we had no choice but to take the cab to take us to the next train station. at the station, we were to catch the 7:21 train. we were early for that that we were just sitting there idly when kuya butch decided to double check the platform where we were. at around 7:18, he realized we were at the wrong platform! ok, we had to make a mad dash to the other platform to catch that train. we missed it of course. good thing the next scheduled train would still bring us to the airport on time. whew!
anyway, i'm back now and here or there, i'm doing ot work. the only difference is that walking there feels safe and i'll be home in less than 20 minutes. being back means i have to face the fact that japanese language exam is nearing and i wasn't able to study for a month (i have a lot of catching up to do). also means i should start working on my application for something if i wanna make it on time.
forgive me, but... i miss being there.
