just keeps getting better and better

• instead of having lunch last friday, i was there at powerbooks greenbelt devouring books. i left the place with my purchases and still had the time to leisurely walk back to the office.



• i rarely watch mtv these days. before, when i don't find shows that interest me on local or cable channels, i'd just stick with Channel V or MTV. not anymore though. saturday morning, while reading friday's paper (i usually read the newspaper a day late, haha), i caught Igan d'Bayan's article about the recently held Mtv Asia Awards and got bummed that i wasn't able to watch it. turned out there was a scheduled airing that same night and i got to watch it. happy happy joy joy. Instead of it being MTV Asia Awards 2005, mtv decided to call it MTV Asia Aid (kudos to that) as a response to what happened December of last year. There weren't awards given (winners were announced at a separate event), only performances by Asian (there were Kelly Clarkson, J.Lo [ugh], Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, and Hoobastank though) artists (duh). Let's see, Rain was there (Korea), so were: Tata Young (Thailand), Jay Chou (Taiwan), Vaness Wu (but he didn't perform), Namie Amuro (Japan) and Siti Nurhaliza (Malaysia) [pretty pretty]. I missed seeing Stephanie Sun (Singapore) and our very own Rivermaya. I hope in the next few years, mtv won't have to invite western artists as hosts and as performers anymore.



• Lost In Translation's being shown on HBO and I've been re-watching and re-watching it. loving it so much now.



• in one of our emails, i asked joy if she would like to come with us to church on sunday (yesterday). she didn't answer me and i thought she probably just dismissed the invitation. i didn't ask her about it because i don't want to force her or something. besides, the last thing i want to do is to make someone attend something that'll just make her uncomfortable. i was surprised last saturday when i received her sms asking me about the church service. and yesterday, she did attend the service with us. i was both happy and thankful. i invited her because i thought she'd be interested to listen to what the pastor would have to say and that she'd enjoy worshipping Him with people our age. i didn't invite her because i wanted her to convert or because i wanted her to be a member. truth is, i was hesitant to invite her because i was afraid she'd think i consider her some sort of a charity case.. i guess i just acted on His behalf. Maybe He knew that joy needed to be invited or something like that. (2 sundays ago, it was actually my siobe who said, hey, why don't you ask joy to come with us since she just lives near here). and again, i'm thankful... for her giving it a try.



• it's that over-rated valentine's day once again. (single awareness day for those not in relationships daw). i may be single and not in love, but it doesn't mean i'm not celebrating tonight. ^_^
