Weeklong Update Part 1

I can't believe it's just only a week that went by. Anyway...

aug. 6 - we arrived at hk airport around 4 in the afternoon (kinda got scared during the plane ride because we were almost bouncing in the air). from the airport, it took us almost 2 hours before we got to siu sai wan where we were to stay (island resort hotel). wasn't a least bit tiring because it took us only one bus ride to get there. went straight to tower 5, 39C. Left our luggage to go around the building and do a quick stop at the grocery. [The place where we stayed was a one-stop shop. it had restos, clothes stores, home stores (japan home), grocery and convenience stores (parknshop, circle k, 7-11), basically, you don't have to go outside for the things you need!]. Going back to our flat, we decided to just stay there and... clean up the place! (imagine that). we were left tired but we still ended up sleeping at 2am.

aug. 7 - woke up at around 6 in the morning. took a bath, had breakfast, prepared stuff for work, and then by 8:45, we left our flat. our office was just a mere 10-15 minutes walk (so convenient!). so on with the training. the whole morning we tried hard not to fall asleep while we listen to "portlet" sounding like "porkleg" and other funny sounding words. lunch time, we went back to island resort to eat at Maxim's. it was such a good thing that all three of us girls were dieting that we came up with the plan of sharing whatever we order (their food serving was HUGE! i wouldn't be able to finish it on my own, seriously). that way we get to divide our food expenses and still try out the food. back to the training after lunch. lecture wasn't really that bad because there was this cute guy who were also with us (he was wearing a pink long sleeved shirt and pulled it off well <3). us three girls were really hoping we won't extend till 6pm so that we could make gala already. Fortunately for us, we were dismissed by that time. Aside from that, our project leader allowed us not to attend a meeting with him :) We decided to head to the Peak Tower and to the Wax Museum. Stayed there till shops were almost closing. Walked around while we looked for the bus that was supposed to take us to our place. Arrived home still early (around 11pm). Rested, showered and stayed up till again 2am just staring stories.
