March 23, 2004 Post

Ask me what I fear the most and one probably won't hear the end of it.

one fear is that I won't have the right attitude when my faith is put to the test.

Some people has this notion that when problems arise or if they find themselves in a difficult situation, they'd think that it's a punishment for their wrongdoings. Although at times, He uses that to teach us a lesson, there are times when He allows bad things to happen because He wants His children to be closer to Him and to see if they will still on hold on to Him no matter what.

Apart from knowing this, I also know that I have to make Him the controller of my life (i.e. to give him the free rein) when I accepted Him as my Savior. It means that I surrender my everything to Him. Thus it scares me, that one day, He might test me and strip me off with everything that I have right now (just like He did to test Job, who proved his faith to Him was strong). I'm scared because I'm not too sure how I will react.

So what do I do? I pray, pray that I'd be like Job when that happens.

It's Been 4 Months

since that day i decided to take the plunge.

and in those months, i wasn't only knowing another person, but also knowing myself better. :)

there'd been times when i compared how it was when i was still single. there'd been times when i wondered why we were having arguments. there'd been times when i'm stressing on little things when i shouldn't be in the first place.

but i guess all are but part of the process.

i'm learning and i'm happy & thankful it's him who's learning with me. :)

From Postsecret

"Every single person has at least one secret that would break your heart. If we could just remember this, I think there would be a lot more compassion and tolerance in the world"

Lyric Person

"I've got this theory that there is two kinds of people in the world, there are lyric people and music people. You know the lyric people tend to be analytical, you know, all about the meaning of the song, they are the ones you see with the CD insert out like 5 minutes after buying it pouring over the lyrics interpreting the hell out of everything, and then there is the music people, like Brooke, who could care less about the lyrics as long as its got a good beat and you could dance to it. I don't know sometimes it might be easier to be a music girl and not a lyric girl, but because I'm not let me just say this, sometimes things find you when you need them to find you, I believe that, and for me its usually song lyrics." - Peyton's Podcast
