one generous boss

He brings us japanese delicacies whenever he comes back from a business trip. The last time he came from japan, he gave each one of us sake cups. He pays for our dinner whenever we stay for overtime. He leaves us money when we stay overnight. He treats us to lunch when he feels like it. He meets with each one of us for breakfast and again, it's on him as well. A day before all saint's day, he gave out this frankenstein head container that consisted of assorted candies (guess he was in the trick or treat mood). For this december, he gave each one of us a cute cuddly stuff toy with ayala malls gift certificates included. So now, when you look at each of our desks, you'd see stuff, all of which were given by him. Last week, he treated us to an eat-all-you-can dinner at Don Hen.

And then just this moment, he gave our team enough moolah to spend for either lunch or dinner even if, he is not our project manager. He's not even our project leader. He is not in any way associated with our project, cause, us 4 subordinates of him are being borrowed by another company as developers.

He's the development team manager of our company, but he spoils us like he's our dad. Sometimes, nakakahiya na that it seems like he gives more than he should. I mean, everything comes from his own pocket. And when we look at it, the management doesn't give us any incentives (which they should do).

Why am i talking about him? Why am i sharing his generosity? Wala lang naman, share ko lang na natutuwa ako sa kanya. Not only because he has good taste (cute ng mga binibigay nya ha), but because he always comes up with nice ideas to make us smile kahit paano. So maybe this has only been my first job and I wouldn't know if the other managers are really like that. But i guess I'm really glad that i got a cool manager. (you might say i'm just saying this because of those material stuff but it's not only that...)

So now, we're planning a surprise gimmik for him. Just a little something to show how we appreciate everything.
