i may be tied up with work these past few days (leaving the office not earlier than 11pm) but i still try to keep my fridays free for meet-ups with the girls. my project leaders (past and present) know that they can swamp me with loads of work from monday to thursday but not on a friday.

last friday, i went to have dinner with kulit and angela (supposedly, we were to watch a manila filmfest entry). we were having this conversation about our personalities and i don't exactly remember how she said it but it was something like: "inter-related rin naman talaga yung interests natin e". And then i thought how we like same stuff and at the same time don't like them.

so, let's see. Three of us share a love for books. I am into contemporary lit, kulit is into fantasy & suspense/thrillers, carrots is into chick lit (we're all into chick lits one way or the other but not like carrots). We are music fans. But our interests on the type of music differ as well. Kulit and carrots can talk about rock artists/bands but not with me (they all know how i am into pop music). All five of us are movie addicts (but while some of them can enjoy watching horror movies, I don't). Me and kulit loves foreign countries, except that she has her eyes set on Europe, I, on Asia. When it comesAnd then, we're all kikay in our own ways. Ja, kulit, and carrots can share wrestling conversations (I am really clueless when it comes to this). But you can always depend on Angela for beauty tips, etc (plus venues to have your body massaged or your nails done).

in short, we all have common interests except that our types vary which makes it all fun and educational for all of us. It's like we always learn something from each other when it comes to different topics. It is also for this reason that we can spend hours in a resto just dining and talking incessantly - jumping from one shallow conversation to a serious one.

i don't think there'll ever be any dull moment with these girls.
