it irks me that it seems the whole world was watching the recently held US elections. it's like there's America and the 'other countries'. anyway... so bush has another 4 years to mess with other nations, good for him, but what about the others? then again, i don't think if kerry won, the situation would have been different. would probably be the same, except it would be another person calling the shots. sigh.. politics

...and another filipino gets abducted. aside from the issue that there was a ban and filipinos were still able to fly to some middle east countries, there's this question that troubles me: is life in our country really this hard? they would rather risk their lives going abroad to earn big(?) bucks for their loved ones. altruistic in a way that they think of others (others being their family) first instead of themselves. but ironic in the sense that eventually, when something happens to them, it is their family who gets worked up worrying and grieving (when the worst has happened). in the end, they lost more. thinking about this gets me nowhere, it just goes around in circles. left me with nothing better to do but pray.
