i therefore conclude...

it's never a good idea to put me and kulit in the same room when everyone else wants to go to sleep already, 'cause we just wouldn't let them!

yep! friday was the best! alcohol, beer, food, good company, what more could you ask for? only there was that part wherein we thought we'd be sleeping on the streets. at around 4:30 in the morning, 8 of us (all sleepy) were still outside mark's place, hoping against hope that someone from their house would wake up and open the gate and door for us.

when we finally got inside mark's bedroom, it seemed like me and kulit's (as well as the other girls') sleepiness disappeared all of a sudden. it was weird how we got extra talkative at that time and before we knew it, we were asking for jokes and laughing over them no matter how corny it was. it was the same scene at angela's place all over again.

my x-ray results came out yesterday.

Findings: Scoliosis - scoliosis on thoracic spine noted.

THIS is why I hate checkups (i.e. dental, eye, especially whole body checkups)

I always knew planning is not my thing. While some people spend their time thinking about their future, I always end up not doing the same thing. During job interviews, I dreaded the part where the interviewer had to ask me of my short-term and long-term plans. I didn't like answering that particular question because I do not have any concrete answer/s to give.

I admire those people who have their life mapped out already. These are people who know what they want. Me? I'm not sure if it is intentional or not that I avoid looking at my future. All I know is, things that have happened in my life all turned out unexpectedly. I didn't plan for me to graduate with honors in elementary and high school, although I did plan to continue having honors in college. As it turned out, I slacked off and had average grades, not enough to make me a dean's lister every term. On my first year in college, I wanted so badly to get out of school the soonest possible time. And again, that wasn't what actually happened because I had to be delayed for two terms before I got to graduate. Being part of the student assembly was the least of my concerns as well, but then I found myself actively being involved in them. My childhood dream included me studying medicine, passing the board exam and becoming a doctor by profession. What I clearly did not see was I, working in an IT company as a development engineer (and I still believe I'm not cut out in the IT industry).

It may seem odd that someone who takes things too seriously at times tend to care less about her future. It's just that I've realized that in this life, I am not the one in charge. I am but an actor trying my darndest not to be considered mediocre. The director lays out the situations for me, and I am given the choice of how I'll act on them.

I am not that pathetic to not have anything in mind. I have, only they are nothing but vague thoughts - no specific scenarios, no definite plans. So if you do not want to get a blank stare or a "who cares?" as an answer, don't ask me about my plans.

Note:
I was a part of the student assembly. It meant I went through the process of "planning" for activities. And I enjoyed doing that.
Let's just say, it's just my life that I don't like planning for specifically. =)

I'm happy.

oh, but i'm not in love.

maybe that's why I am happy...

why i shouldn't be talking on the phone when i'm sluggish

The phone rang at around 1 in the evening last night. Wondering who it probably was, I reluctantly reached for it.

Me: Hello?
Brian: Gnet!
Me: Oh.
Brian: Anak ng... Inaantok ka na naman? E sa twing tatawag ako sa yo, kung hindi kagigising mo lang, inaantok ka!
Me: Hindi pa ko tulog.. Inaantok lang...

Brian: May balita ka kay Hubert?
Me: Wala nga din e.
Brian: Bakit? Diba may past kayo non? Tapos hindi mo man lang kinukumusta?
Me: Anong past ka jan? Kaw na lang mangumusta. Tawagan mo tapos kwento mo na lang sa kin.
Brian: Ba't d na lang ikaw?
Me: Busy ako e.
[after a different topic]
Me: O nga, pahiram muna ko playstation.
Brian: Siraulo ka din no? E kanina sabi mo busy ka, tapos magpplaystation ka?
Me: Ha? Kelan ko sinabi na busy ako?

unplanned gimik

Our Friday night out's usually comprised of me, kulit and carrots and sometimes there were angela and ja as well. Since we're missing some of our college friends, we decided to ask two of them (aldwyn and trick) last week if they wanna join us. It was setteled then, 5 of us girls plus the two guys. We really didn't have anything special planned, except to watch a movie or dine out.

Yesterday afternoon though, grace texted me asking if girls were going out. I said yes and she asked if she could join also. We all met up at Glorietta. Decided to eat at Gery's where we had to wait for more or less an hour before we got our table. Ate in just about 40 minutes or so. (mas mahaba pa pag-aantay namin sa seat kesa sa pagkain namin mismo). We knew of the Octoberfest thingie going on at Eastwood Libis. The 5 of them wanted to go. I, on the other hand, didn't asked persmission from my parents to go there (besides, that would mean I'd have to go home the next day already. Heck, it's not always that I get to spend time with these guys so I made up an excuse so I could go (I am bad!).

Going to Libis was hell! We were stuck in traffic. Everyone seemed to be going there as well. So were our other friends who we were supposed to meet there. Before we knew it, jun called us to tell us that it would be impossible for us to get to Libis. And if ever we do get there, most probably, we won't be able to find a decent place to park. We wasted so much time inside the car goofing around (that was fun though!) that we agreed to what they suggested: to turn back and go somewhere else. Ended up in a bar in Makati (we should have just stayed around makati in the first place eh?).

And so after a looooong day, they're all sleeping by now (except for me and kulit of course). We have to wake up at 6 or 6:30am daw. Haha.. As these guys im sleeping with can do that (i'll have to do the waking up, take note!).

'Twas a fun night. Unexpected meet ups and plans, but turned out fine just the same! Next up, our own octoberfest! Woohoo!
